Ruby in color with medium intensity and a brick tint.

Strong peppermint on the nose with red currants, light oak, spices, earth, light barnyard, wet leaves, herbs, black tea and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, red currants, cherries, light oak, earth, light vanilla, wet leaves, black tea, black pepper, beef jerky, vinaigrette and dark coffee.

Medium finish with no tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 45 year old Petite Sirah is still drinkable, but way passed it’s peak. Interesting with nice complexity and a light mouthfeel.

Good by itself and better with food.

Needs 30 minutes to open up properly, but died after a couple of hours.

I’ve never had a Napa Valley Petite Sirah with such low alcohol. What a great experience this is.

I enjoyed it with great friends and good food.

Dark purple in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of sweet cherries, dried fruits, coffee, vanilla, wood, plums, metals, milk chocolates, tobacco and black pepper.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, vinaigrette, bitter greens, graphite and peppercorn.

Medium finish with full tannins and tangy cranberries.

This Napa Petite Sirah /Malbec blend is very enjoyable. Nicely balanced with a great mouthfeel. Shows nice complexity too.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Will be better in a year or two, but already enjoyable even by itself.

A blend of 60% Petite Sirah, 20% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Zinfandel and 3% Syrah.

Full-bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth and black tea.

Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a great Petite Sirah from Napa. Well balanced with great complexity, big and bold with a great mouthfeel. The tangy ending makes it more interesting.

Would benefit from a few more years in the bottle. Good by itself or with food like a big piece of steak. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.

This is one for long-term aging at a good price.

Dark inky in color with a short purplish rim.

Fruity nose with black currants, blackberries, figs, smoke, licorice, cherry pie, vegetables, tar, pencil lead, peppercorn and leather.

Full bodied with a great mouth feel, medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, vegetables, vinaigrette, tobacco, bitter herbs, bell pepper, peppercorn and earth.

Medium plus in finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 9 year old, Single Vineyard Petite Sirah from Napa Valley, is still drinking nicely now with nice complexity and balance. Rich and extracted.

Needs 2 hours to open up properly and show some tannins. Peaking now and very enjoyable by itself or with food like BBQ steak.

I had this vintage over a year ago, and it’s still delicious.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs, rich and jammy.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked strawberries, spices, pencil lead, black pepper, leather, licorice, bitter herbs, bell pepper, vanilla, cedar, bell pepper and tobacco.

Long finish with firm tannins and black pepper.

This is a great Petite Sirah from Napa Valley. Well-balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Extracted and rich with nice complexity.
This is a teeth staining red wine with lots of sediments in the glass.

A little hot at the back of the throat, which will go away in a couple of years. This will age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

I had the 2007 a year ago and it wasn’t as good ( the 13 was a much better vintage).

Needs a couple of hours in a decanter to open up and show some tannins.

Delightful and delicious.

Dark ruby in color with a thin purplish rim. Teeth staining color.

Great nose of blackberries, black currants, blueberries, figs, raisins, oak, vanilla, cooked cherries, licorice, cola, spices, coffee, dark chocolates and peppercorn.

Full-bodied, bold, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and gorgeous legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cherries, sweet plums, dried figs, vanilla, cedar, cinnamon, licorice, earth, tar, spices and lots of peppercorn.

Long finish with firm and round tannins, spices and black pepper.

What a great Petite Syrah from Rutherford Grove. This 7 year old, Single Vineyard, is Enjoyable by itself or with a big piece of steak.

Nice and balanced, showing great complexity and layers of flavors. A great sipping wine. Drinking nicely now, and will be good in the next few years too.

Needs 4 hours to open up properly.

Wonderful nose of sweet dark fruits, blackberries, figs, raisins, cooked plums, strawberry pie, licorice, cloves, light vegetables, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, earth, leather, coffee, chocolates, light alcohol, spices and peppercorn.

Full bodied, big, bold and smooth, with high acidity and great legs.

Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, green pepper, mocha, espresso and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and raspberries.

A very extracted and rich Petite Sirah from Napa Valley, California.
A bit unbalanced and tart at the ending, but a good wine, nonetheless, with nice complexity and lots of sediments.

This 10 year old has reached it’s peak a year or two ago, and I’m not sure if it has enough in it to last any longer. So this would be a good time to drink yours before it’s too late.

Needs 3 hours to open up properly.

Long finish with firm, round tannins and spices.

A great Petite Sirah from Napa Valley, California. This 8 year old, is now balanced and smooth with a nice mouthfeel. Complex, interesting and enjoyable by itself or with food. I paired it with a 16 ounce filled mignon.

Needs 2 hours to open up.

Long, long finish with firm tannins, black pepper and herbs.

This is a great single Vineyard Napa Valley Petite Sirah.
Well-balanced with a great mouth feel.
Good by itself, with big hearty foods, Grilled Meats or barbecue.

This 7 year old, Needs two and a half hours to open up. Out of the bottle it is bitter with lots of green pepper, so please be patient…
