Belle Glos Wines Dairyman Pinot Noir 2013 Sonoma County, California

My Rating 86 Points.

Price $50.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Earthy nose of blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, bell pepper, tobacco, earth, pencil lead, peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates, barnyard and mocha.

Medium to full bodied, and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, vegetables and black pepper.

Medium finish with soft tannins and black pepper.

This is a great Pinot Noir from California. Enjoyable by itself or with food, but still needs a couple of years in the bottle.

This Single Vineyard Pinot, from the Russian River Valley, is earthy, well balanced and complex, with a great mouthfeel. Not as good as the Clark and Telephone version, though.

This is a Pinot Noir for the Cabernet lover…

Aged in French oak barrels (60% new) for 9 months.

Wine Spectator 92 points.
