Bodegas Gormaz 12 Linajes Crianza Tempranillo 2014, Ribera Del Duero, Spain

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, red currants, oak, tobacco, licorice, earth, cocoa, mocha, coffee, peppercorn, earth, spices and light pencil lead.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked strawberries, earth, chocolates, tobacco, oak, light vanilla, spices, peppercorn and leather.

Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice surprise. A very enjoyable Tempranillo from Ribera Del Duero in Spain. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and tangy.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Tannins show up after 90 minutes.

This 7 year old shows nice complexity at this point. Drinking nicely now, and will be even better in the next five years.

I paired it with cheeses and fresh vegetables.

100% Tempranillo grapes were aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months (60% new).

Ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Fruity nose with blueberries, cherries, sweet strawberries, oak, earth, light licorice, vanilla, spices, herbs, tobacco, dark chocolates, pencil lead and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, wood, spices, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn and earth.

Tangy finish with fine-grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is an easy drinking Tempranillo from Spain. Tangy and spicy with lots of fresh fruits. Very approachable and fresh. A good everyday wine.

Fruit forward right out of the bottle, and as it opens up, more earth notes show up.

Good by itself or with food, and good for parties. I had it by the pool on a gorgeous day.

100% Tempranillo grapes were aged for 5 months in American Oak barrels (50% new). Grapes are grown at at 3,000 feet of elevation.

Dark ruby in color with a brick rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, coffee, Indian spices, cardamom, cinnamon, decayed wood, vanilla, tobacco, licorice, herbs, earth and black pepper.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, pencil lead, peppercorn, earth and leather.

Spicy finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a very tasty Tempranillo from Ribera Del Duero. Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel. Tangy and interesting.

This 9 year old is showing a very nice nose now. Nicely balanced and good by itself or with food.

Very enjoyable now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 3 to 5 years. Showing a lot of fruits still. Loved the nose here.

Good right out of the bottle and better after 90 minutes in a decanter, when tannins and structure show up.

100% Tempranillo grapes grown at 3,000 feet of elevation. Aged for 24 months in 70% French Oak barrels and 30% American. 60% new Oak.
