Dark ruby, almost Inky in color, with a short reddish rim. Not showing age at all.

On the nose blackberries, cherry pie, figs, raisins, tobacco, cedar, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus, spices, chocolates and coffee.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, raisins, dried fruits, chocolates, mocha, coke, earth, herbs and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This 12 year Napa Cabernet is delicious now. Showing good structure with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Fruit forward, rich and extracted. In your face kind of wine, which I liked. Peaking now.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show the tannins.

Ruby in color with medium-plus intensity and a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose of bing cherries, raspberries, red currants, light oak, light spices, licorice, black pepper, vegetables, tobacco leaf, beef jerky, herbs and earth.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with over ripen cherries, plums, earth, tobacco, light wood, spices, vegetables, bitter herbs, light vinaigrette, dark chocolates and black pepper.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This red blend from Israel is tasty and interesting. Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel.

Smells like a new world Pinot Noir, but that doesn’t show up on the palate.

Good by itself or with food. Spicy and entertaining. Good right out of the bottle and easy drinking. Tannins show up after an hour of airtime.

Feels like a fruit forward Spanish red. Interesting stuff.

A good food wine that I paired with cheeses and crackers.

A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. Aged for 16 months in mostly used French oak barrels. Kosher and unfiltered.

14% alcohol by volume.

It’s time for a delicious Cabernet for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Deep purple in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, earth, light vegetables, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, herbs and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cherries, spices, tobacco leaf, licorice, chocolates, vanilla, cedar, earth, herbs, peppercorn and pencil lead.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries and red chili powder.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Still very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature, but already very yummy.

Elegant and rich, with nice complexity and good structure. The high alcohol is not too noticeable.

Will age nicely in the next 10 years, and shows good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Needs an hour to open up and bring the tannins to the game.
Gets earthier as it opens up.

A great wine to have all by itself, or with a nice piece of steak. I paired it with cheeses, meats and crackers.

Aged in (75% new) American oak barrels for 21 months. A tiny production of only four barrels.

Pretty color of ruby with medium intensity.

On the nose blueberries, raspberries, light wood, earth, light vegetables, vanilla, herbs and peppercorn.

Light to medium in body with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with currants, cherries, raspberries, black plums, oak, licorice, vanilla, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice Grenache from Mendocino County. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

A nice porch wine and easy drinking. Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.

Still young, but already enjoyable, even by itself.

Nicely balanced now, and would be interesting to try it again in 3 years.

I paired it with burger and fries.

Aged in French oak barrels for 11 months. Unfiltered and unfined.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.

On the nose black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, light herbs, earth and black pepper.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, figs, black plums, cherries, dried fruits, vanilla, cedar, spices, chocolates, coffee, light cola, pencil lead, earth and leather.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Nicely aged with a beautiful nose and palate.

Shows great complexity with a great mouthful.

This 14 year old is drinking so very nicely now, and will continue in the next five years. Has a lot of oomph in it still.

Good right out of the bottle, and even better as it opens up and shows more complexity and tannins.

I actually had a blind and called Cabernet based Bordeaux blend from Napa 2007. Doesn’t happen too often, but sometimes it does

A great wine to drink all by itself, and share with good friends and talk about.

This Cabernet from the great 2007  vintage is showing wonderfully now. At its peak. I had the 2010 not too long ago and loved it too.

A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petite Verdot and 5% Malbec.

L’Ecole No 41 Winery Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Washington State

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State.

Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, tobacco, chocolates, coke, earth, light vegetables and peppercorn.

Big, bold and full-bodied with medium acidity.

Nice lenght on the finish with firm tannins.

Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours of airtime. A little harsh right now, but will calm down as it ages in the bottle.

Shows great quality for the price, and will age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years. 

I paired it with a nice piece of steak.

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.

Showing black fruits with chocolate notes, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, light cedar, cola, cloves, light earth and herbs.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruit forward.

Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.

Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already very yummy.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

I had their Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley a year ago, and this Napa version is much better.

Well-balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. I paired it with BBQ Meats.

13% alcohol by volume. Kosher and Mevushal.

This is a beautiful Double Magnum from Napa Valley.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, cedar, vanilla, licorice, peppercorn, chocolates, coffee and light earth.

Long finish with firm tannins.

Rich and bold with a nice mouthfeel. Still young, but already delicious.

This 6 year old, from the 2015 vintage, is extracted and in your face kind of wine, that needs at least 15 years in the bottle. Showing great complexity already, with a great mouthfeel.

Robert Parker 94 points.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime, which I did not have. This double Magnum finished so quickly.

A really nice wine to have all by itself.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in 100% new oak barrels. A small production of only 175 cases.

A pretty color of purple with a wide purplish /reddish rim.

On the nose tangy raspberries, sweet and sour cherries, blueberries, spices, oak, fennel and earth.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, light oak, earth, spices, peppercorn, tobacco and dark coffee.

Nice spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a very interesting wine from Texas. Tangy, easy drinking and a good food wine.

Fresh and fruit forward. Feels like a red Côtes du Rhône.

A nice afternoon porch sipper to pair with some cheeses.

100% Carignan grapes were aged for 18 months in mostly American oak barrels (30% new), and the rest in French and Hungarian barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

Dry on the palate with plums, sweet cherries, oak, light vanilla, spices, dark chocolates, coffee and black pepper.

Tangy long finish with fine tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a delicious and unique red wine from Israel. Tasty and elegant. Fruity, tangy and interesting with nice complexity.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with some airtime (1 hour).

Tasty and good by itself or with food. I paired it with a few meat dishes. Delicious with the lamb.

100% Barbera grapes were aged in French and American oak barrels for 16 months. Kosher.

14.3% alcohol by volume.
