Titus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, California


It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Dark purple in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose, spicy and elegant, with nice complexity.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, earth, vanilla, coffee, cola and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This young Napa Cabernet needs three to five years in the bottle to mature properly.

Drinking nicely now, and needs 2 hours in the decanter to calm down a bit, and bring out the tannins and more structure.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Spicy, rich and extracted.

A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.5% Petit Verdot, 7% Merlot and 4.5% Malbec.

The Vice Wines The House Batch 110 Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, Napa Valley, California



Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, black plums, cherries, sweet raspberries, spices, light cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This young Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is starting to drink nicely now. Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but very easy drinking, even right out of the bottle.

Elegant and fruit forward, with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. Spicy and interesting.

Needs 30 minutes to open up, and much nicer after an hour in the decanter.

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in French and American oak barrels (30% new) for 12 months.

This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from Beckstoffer Vineyard. Rich, yet elegant with nice complexity. Extracted and fruit forward.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and interesting.

This 9-year-old from the great 2014 vintage in Napa is drinking beautifully now.

Wine Enthusiasts 94 points.

This Single Vineyard is good right out of the bottle, and even better after 3 hours of airtime. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

I’ve had the 2009 a couple of years ago and loved it as well. Showing great consistency.

Good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.

This is a gorgeous Napa Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend.

Showing a very aromatic nose, and very fruity on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing blackberries, cooked cherries, black plums, tobacco, diet cola, cedar, leather, vanilla, chocolates, licorice, spices, earth and peppercorn.

Long tangy finish with round tannins and cherries.

A great sipping wine. Delicious right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

I’ve had a few vintages of this wine, and this 2016 is rocking. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

An excellent Cabernet that will pair nicely with a nice piece of steak. I had it all by itself by the lake.

A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.

Beautiful nose with nice complexity.

Dry and fruity on the palate, and elegant with medium acidity.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, espresso, cola, herbs, licorice, black pepper, tobacco leaf, chocolates, light earth and Indian spices.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

Soft and elegant, and so tasty with chocolate and licorice notes. Complex and good right out of the bottle.

Still young, but already delicious, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years. I had it a year ago and it is already drinking better.

Good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

Aged for 21 months in 75% new American oak barrels, and the rest in neutral French Oak. A small production of only 1,200 bottles.

This Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend, is well balanced with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Already has a nice nose.

Still young and would continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

A delicious sipping wine, that will also will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot. A tiny production of only one barrel.

This 8 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is gorgeous. Rich and extracted, yet elegant with nice complexity.

A beautiful wine that will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

This Single Vineyard is delicious right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime. It’s definitely worth the wait.

A great sipping wine, and will pair nicely with a big piece of steak too.

This young Cabernet Sauvignon will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Has good structure, and could become a 94+ point wine. Will be nice to revisit it in 5 years.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Spicy and rich. Opulent and tasty.

Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

This Single Vineyard Cabernet from the great 2016 vintage, is still young, and would be better in the next 5 to 10 years.

Beautiful nose of black currants, blackberries, blueberries, dried figs, raisins, light oak, licorice, light tobacco, light earth, chocolates, eucalyptus, light vegetables, herbs, wildflowers, cola and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, figs, dried fruits, coffee, light cedar, tobacco, chocolates, cola, vanilla, licorice, spices, light earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This gorgeous 18 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now.

This is a great surprise, as the cork totally crumbled, and I expected the worst, but it really delivered.

Shows nice balance, and great complexity with a velvety mouthfeel.

Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. As it opens up, tannins come in (45 minutes), and make it more structured and interesting.

A great sipping wine to have all by itself and talk about. The nose is just gorgeous.
