Pretty color of deep purple with a wide purplish rim.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Showing black plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, milk chocolate covered cherries, peppercorn and light earth.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. Soft and smooth. Very chocolaty once it opens up (30 minutes).
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Syrah grapes were aged in Hungarian Oak barrel for 40 months. A tiny production of only 1 barrel.
90 points.
