It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Beautiful nose with nice complexity.
Dry and fruity on the palate, and elegant with medium acidity.
Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, espresso, cola, herbs, licorice, black pepper, tobacco leaf, chocolates, light earth and Indian spices.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
Soft and elegant, and so tasty with chocolate and licorice notes. Complex and good right out of the bottle.
Still young, but already delicious, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years. I had it a year ago and it is already drinking better.
Good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
Aged for 21 months in 75% new American oak barrels, and the rest in neutral French Oak. A small production of only 1,200 bottles.
15.2% alcohol by volume.
93 points.
