Light salmon in color with a golden hue.
Sweet nose of honeydew, peaches, honey, light earth, ripen citrus fruits, dried apricots, tangerines and light raspberries.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Off dry on the palate with strawberries, apples, pears, peaches, tangerines, spices and rose pedals.
Tangy finish with limes.
This is a very tasty and easy drinking semi sweet wine from Paso Robles. A nice surprise, as I didn’t expect much from it.
Nicely balanced with enough acidity to balance the sugars. Very enjoyable and aromatic.
This 27 year old is drinking very nicely now and will be still good in the next few years.
Needs a few hours to open up properly and show the complexity, so be patient.
At this point it has too much going on to pair with food, like spicy Thai food, and might interfere. Not sweet enough to pair with cakes, and better by itself as a sipping wine.
10.4% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$20 (current vintage).
