Chateau Lacaussade Saint Martin Vieilles Vignes Blanc 2019 Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, France

Pale lemon in color with a golden hue.

Light nose of citrus, limes, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, earth and spices.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with limes, faint wood, grapefruits, citrus, green apples, bitter vegetables, spices, earth, herbs and almonds.

Medium minus on the finish with tangy limes.

This is a nice and enjoyable white Bordeaux. Easy drinking and good for parties. A little spicy, which makes it interesting.

Good by itself and better with food. I paired it with cheeses and crackers.

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Fermented in Oak barrels, and aged on its lees for 10 months. Kosher and not Mevushal.

14% alcohol by volume.

88 points.

$23.
