Tank Garage Winery Pop Nat Non Vintage, California

Nice salmon in color.

Strong nose of yeast, bread, light watermelon, light cherries, limes and green apples.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and small bubbles.

Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, green apples, grapefruits, watermelon, minerals, yeast, biscuit and white pepper.

Tangy finish with limes.

This is my first Pet Nat. Interesting stuff and a nice surprise. Crisp and refreshing, and nicely balanced.

Good by itself, and has nice acidity to pair with food. I paired it with cheeses, crackers and fresh fruit (really nice with the Brie cheese).

100% Barbera grapes from a Single Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills.

10.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.
