A pretty color of dark ruby with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity on the nose with cherries, blueberries, red currants, wood, red candy, spices, licorice and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
On the palate, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, wood, earth, graphite, spices, herbs, light vegetables and light black pepper.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a nice Zinfandel from California. Not fully balanced, yet enjoyable by itself or with food. Still young and needs another few years to mature. Showing elegance with nice complexity.
Not as fruity as I expected from a California Zinfandel. Very high in alcohol, but it’s not noticeable at all, so watch out…
This Single Vineyard Paso Robles Zinfandel needs an hour to open up properly and show some tannins. I used the VSpin for about 10 minutes.
15.7% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
$60.
Loved Turley on our last trip through Paso Robles. Great Zin!
