Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, earth, barnyard, vegetables, smoke and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with black currants, black plums, oak, licorice, cloves, earth, vegetables, vinaigrette, vanilla, tobacco leaf, spices, beef jerky and peppercorn.

This is an above-average Primitivo from Puglia, Italy. Not fully balanced any longer, but drinking nicely even by itself. A little oxidized, though.
Has a nice mouthfeel, and an enjoyable tangy ending. A good everyday wine.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
86 points.
$14.
