Deep ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Nice nose of black currants, black cherries, oak, earth, green vegetables, beef jerky, spices, coffee, herbs, forest floor, smoke, green pepper, peppercorn, leather, and licorice.
Medium to full-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, strawberries, oak, cloves, green vegetables, herbs, chocolates, wood, forest floor, smoke, earth, wet rocks, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice Monastrell from Jumilla. Almost balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Earthy with mild complexity.
A good food wine or just to sip on. Good everyday wine at a great price.
Could use a couple of years in the bottle to mature properly. I had it 7 months ago and it is getting better.
I paired it with a chicken flatbread and hard cheeses.
