Le Grand Noir Black Sheep Rosé 2016, France

My Rating 85 Points.

Price $12.

Light salmon in color. Interesting color, it’s actually the rose gold iPhone color.

Very nice nose of white flowers, lemons, citrus, apples, pears, sea salt, minerals, herbs and lemongrass.

Light in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, green apples, strawberries, wet rocks, pink grapefruits, minerals, bitter herbs and white pepper.

Tangy finish with limes and bitter almonds.

This French Rosé is enjoyable by itself or with food. Nicely balanced with a gentle mouthfeel. Crisp and refreshing.
Definitely an above average wine.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to call a Rosé with my eyes covered. Feels more like an interesting Sauvignon Blanc.

I had it all by itself, and it finished very quickly…

A blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah.

12.5% alcohol by volume.
