Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, dried figs, smoke, oak, vanilla, licorice, dust, bacon fat, chocolates, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, dark roasted coffee, caramel and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body and jammy, with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry to off dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cooked cherries, oak vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, mocha, tobacco, light earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This simple Zinfandel from Lodi, California is drinking very nicely now without too much complexity. Shows nice mouthfeel and balance, with a tangy ending that makes it interesting and enjoyable.
A good everyday sipper and good for parties. Good right out of the bottle.
