Deep ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Nice nose of blackberries, currants, plums, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, smoke, bell pepper, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf, tar, earth, vegetables, barnyard and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, cloves, herbs, bell pepper, earth, black tea, peppercorn, spices, green vegetables, chocolates and tobacco.
Medium finish with round tannins and spices.
This 3 year old Chilean Cabernet is drinking nicely now. Simple and enjoyable by itself or with food.
Spicy with a lighter mouthfeel than I expected. Balanced with lots of green notes. Needs 90 minutes to open up properly, and show some tannins.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
