Montpellier Vineyards Pinot Noir 2014, California

My Rating 84 Points.

Price $10.
Light ruby in color with medium intensity and a pink rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, wood, spices, smoke, peppermint, cloves, light vanilla, light vegetables, light barnyard and black pepper.

Light to medium in body, smooth and soft, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, cranberries, earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, tobacco and herbs.

Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.

This is a drinkable Pinot Noir from California. A nice surprise at this price point.

Light and fruity without any bitterness. Easy drinking, well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Simple and not too heavy on the alcohol. A Good porch wine.

I paired it grilled salmon.

12.5% alcohol by volume.
