Michael David Winery Petite Petit 2014 Lodi, California

My Rating 88 Points.

Price $17.

Nice deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Light nose of blueberries, blackberries, sweet cherries, figs, raisins, vanilla, wood, chocolates, cloves, earth, pencil lead, peppercorn, mocha and spices.

Full bodied and bold, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This Petite Sirah is drinking nicely now, not too heavy on the tannins.
Bold, big and tasty. Well balanced with nice complexity. Nice as a sipping wine or even for parties.
Good right out of the bottle.

A blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petite Verdot.

14.5% alcohol by volume.
