Sebastiani Vineyards and Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Sonoma County, California

My Rating 85 Points.

Price $18.

Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim
Soft and fruity nose with cherries, plums, blueberries, currants, earth, wood, licorice, peppercorn, spices, light vanilla and chocolates.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, spices, vegetables, earth, bitter herbs, dark coffee, graphite and peppercorn.

Medium finish with nice round tannins and tangy cranberries.

An above average Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County, California. Balanced and not very complex, yet enjoyable by itself or with food. A good sipping wine, and also good right out of the bottle with a tangy, spicy and interesting finish.

A blend of 81.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.8% Petit Verdot, 4.6% Merlot, 3.7% Ruby Cabernet and 3.6% Malbec.

13.9% alcohol by volume.
