This Friday, my Cabernet fix is this wonderful Napa jewel, a bit young, but already delicious.
Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of cherries, blueberries, plums, wood, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, black pepper, earth, sage, vanilla, tobacco, herbs and leather.
Medium plus in body, smooth and juicy, with medium acidity and nice long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, green pepper, mocha, espresso, chocolates, tobacco, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a great Napa Cabernet. Well balanced with nice acidity to make it interesting. Complex with lots of coffee and chocolate notes. Enjoyable by itself or with food, like BBQ Meats.
Could use 3 to 5 years to mature, and will get even better a decade later.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels.
