Bodega Clop Y Clop Los Clop Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2010, Mendoza Argentina

My Rating 87 Points.

Price $16.
Dark ruby in color with a short brick rim.

Nice nose with lots of earth tones and blackberries, plums, cherries, black currants, wood, earth, licorice, spices, light vanilla, vegetables, pencil lead, green pepper, alcohol, vinaigrette, herbs and peppercorn.

Medium to full-bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long flowing legs.

Earthy and dry on the palate with blueberries, cherries, plums, black currants, earth, licorice, oak, bell pepper, herbs, bitter vegetables, vanilla, forest floor, graphite, spices and black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and spices.

This Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, from Argentina, is drinking very nicely now, after spending 7 years in the bottle. Balanced with a smooth mouthfeel and nice complexity. Still holding enough acidity to make the ending interesting. Enjoyable by itself and great with food.

Robert Parker gave it 87 Points.

Drinks much nicer now than a few years ago. Better after 60 minutes of airtime.

I paired it with hard and soft cheeses, crackers and nuts.

14% alcohol by volume.
