My Rating 86 Points.
Price $12.
Dark inky in color with a short purple rim.
Light sweet nose with currants, cherries, wood, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, dried figs, peppercorn, earth, leather, spices, chocolates and mocha.
Full bodied and smooth, with medium acidity long legs.
Dry on the palate and very fruity, with figs, currants, raisins, blackberries, vanilla, cedar, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, peppercorn, earth, spices, cloves, mint and peppercorn.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
A nice Petite Sirah for the week day, with a nice mouthfeel. Drinking nicely now with mild complexity, and good balance.
Enjoyable by itself or with food.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. A good sipping wine and good as a party wine too.
I liked it better than the 2014, I had a year ago.
13% alcohol by volume.
I almost bought a bottle of this the other day just because I thought the label was cool but I didn’t get it because I had already planned to get something else. I think I’ll go back and get it this week! 🙂

Syrah is nice too, but this is Petite Sirah, which is a different varietal. You should give it a try…
