Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity on the nose with black currants, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, cedar, leather, licorice, spices, peppercorn, coffee, dark chocolates and tobacco.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs
Fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves earth, leather, spices, chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium finish with firm, grippy tannins and black pepper.
An above average Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, California. Enjoyable by itself or with food. Nicely balanced with mild complexity. Could wait a year or two, but already drinking nicely. A little tight still, but drinkable, nonetheless.
Paired nicely with ribs and baked potato.
Aged for 12 months in Oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
