JL Giguiere Black’s Station Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Yolo County, California

My Rating 78 Points.

Price $12.

Dark inky in color with a short rim.

Light nose of blueberries, blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, chocolate
cake, coffee, tobacco and peppercorn.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate and fruity, with blueberries, plums, cherries, barnyard, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tart cherries.

This California Cabernet is simple and unbalanced. However, it is drinkable. Nothing special on the mouthfeel either. Another year in the bottle might help a bit…

A little tart to drink by itself, but will pair better with food.

13.9% alcohol by volume.
