Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, California

My Rating 93 Points.

Price $75.

Deep inky in color with a short purple rim.

Strong fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, sweet plums, cherry pie, cloves, vanilla, cedar, licorice, leather, graphite, chocolates, dark coffee, mocha, metals, light vegetables, spices, herbs, tobacco and peppercorn.

Full-bodied, bold, rich and jammy, with medium acidity and great long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, sweet plums, raisins, figs, graphite, cedar, spice box, licorice, earth, vanilla, leather, smoke, chocolates, mocha, dark coffee, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with grippy tannins and tangy cherries.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is really enjoyable by itself. Well-balanced and great complexity, yet still young.

Good right out of the bottle, but better after opening up. Needs an hour to open up properly. Will be great in 5 to 10 years.

A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot.

Grapes are from: 72% Napa Valley and 28% Sonoma County.

Aged in French oak barrels.
Served from 4 magnum bottles. Thank you Mike for sharing.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
