Tom Gore Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, California

My Rating 86 Points.

Price $15.

Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, metals, herbs, light vegetables and peppercorn.

Medium to full-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, vanilla, cloves, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and peppercorn.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and black pepper.

This is a nice Cabernet from California. Spicy, well balanced and drinking nicely now. Good by itself or with food. Not very complex but enjoyable nonetheless. An above-average everyday Cab.

I paired it with a nice, juicy burger.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
