Castra Rubra Cellar Thracian Valley Classic Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Bulgaria

My Rating 75 Points.

Price $10.

Beautiful color of light gold, with a yellow tint.

Light nose of rotten citrus fruits, pineapples, lemons, Indian spices, bananas, pears and red apples.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with limes, citrus, lemons, light mandarins, spices, black pepper, green beans and over ripen grapefruits.

Short and sour finish with bitter almonds and grapefruits.

This Sauvignon Blanc from Bulgaria is too old. Past its time by a couple of years.

Feels a little rotten both on the nose and palate. Oh, well…

13% alcohol by volume.
