Plumeria Moscato D’Asti DOCG 2015, Italy

My Rating 75 Points.

Price $10.

Pale lemon in color.

Stinky nose with rotten fruits, citrus and limes.

Full-bodied and buttery with low acidity and plenty of bubbles.

Sweet on the palate with citrus, lemons, honey, apples, melons, peaches and butter.

Short finish with a sugary ending.

This Italian Moscato is way too sweet and unbalanced.
Fairly simple and I Couldn’t finish my glass. My wife loved it, though.
Fun looking bottle, might be a good choice for a party.
5.5% alcohol by volume.

  1. The name sounds as if it offers everything: plumeria, moscato, asti… I’d probably like it, too. The bottle seems to revive memories of the plumeria perfume my friend loved…
