My Rating 88 Points.
Deep Purple in color with a purple rim. A very nice color.
Very fruity on the nose with sweet plums, cooked cherries, figs, raisins, vanilla, wood, cloves, sage, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Full bodied and jammy, with medium acidity and long legs.
Extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, raisins, cooked cherries, oak, bacon, vanilla, ripe blueberries, earth spices, mocha, milk chocolate, smoke and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with very soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
A simple California Zinfandel but very tasty and easy to drink.
The palate is very much like a stew of dark and red berries. Easy drinking and well balanced.
Enjoyable by itself as a sipping wine, and a good party wine too.
Might have some residual sugar, but it has enough acidity to balance it out nicely.
A good entry wine for those moving from white wine to red.
Good right out of the bottle and doesn’t change much with time.
Drink while young.
Although a bit jammy, I liked the fact that it has a tangy finish, so it is not cloying at all.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
