Ruby in color with a brick rim.
Soft nose of blueberries, plums, strawberries, raspberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, smoke, peppermint, black pepper, light coffee, mocha, earth and vegetables.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, alcohol, spices, chocolates, smoke, earth, stones, leaves, vegetables, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and black pepper.
This is a nice Italian Primitivo. Well-balanced with nice complexity and a pleasant mouthfeel.
Good by itself or with food.
I paired it with soft and hard cheeses.
This 5 year old could be better in a year or two, but already enjoyable now.
