Full bodied, Jammy and extracted, with medium acidity and very nice long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with sweet plums, stewed cherries, earth, black currants, sweet strawberries, bitter herbs, light vegetables, leather, pencil lead, cola and peppercorn.
Medium plus in length on the finish with round, bitter tannins.
This is a nice surprise. A nice California Cabernet. An above-average everyday Cab.
Rich, extracted and well-balanced, with a nice mouthfeel.
Enjoyable by itself as a sipping wine, or even good at parties. Will pair well with grilled meats or beef stew.
Needs 30 minutes to open up and show some mild complexity. Might be a tad better in a year or so. Worth a try at $12…
A nice collaboration of Joel Gott, Charles Bieber and Roger Scommegna.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
