Interesting and complex nose of red currants, cherries, plums, green pepper, earth, vanilla, licorice, sage, dill, vegetables, vanilla, smoke, metals, asparagus, cooking spices, wood and peppercorn. A Wonderful nose of well integrated flavors.
Medium plus in body, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, leather, oak, light vanilla, green pepper, chocolates, mushrooms, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and spices.
This 7 year old Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking very nicely now. Well balanced with nice integrated complexity. Soft mouth feel and much smoother than before. Enjoyable by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
Needs 30 minutes to open up and blossom. It was worth keeping it all this time, much better now than 2 years ago. Changed every 15 minutes in the decanter.
I had it all by itself, paired with good music played by my daughter.
14% alcohol by volume.
This is a great wine. I actually had some yesterday at a wine tasting at a locally owned wine shop, and it was lovely. I bought a bottle and will probably have it this week.
