Seven Rings Oak Knoll District Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Napa Valley, California

My Rating 87 Points.

Price $20.
Beautiful ruby in color with a light burgundy rim.

Nice fruity nose of black currants, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, plums, licorice, oak, vanilla, alcohol, cola, leather, light green vegetables, herbs, chocolates, bell pepper, tobacco, earth and black pepper.

Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, green vegetables, spices, peppercorn, dark chocolates and tobacco.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tart raspberries.

This is an enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.
Simple with some complexity,
but I would love to have more structure here.
A Good party wine that did not change much in the decanter.

A little flat for my taste, and might not be worth the $20. However, drinkable and enjoyable by itself or with food.

I would give it one more year in the bottle, to chill down, and get rid of the green notes, but I’m not sure it has enough in it to carry it through.

14.2% alcohol by volume.
