Graham Beck Wines The Game Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, South Africa

My Rating 83 Points.

Price $15.
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Earthy nose of blueberries, cherries, chocolates, smoke, licorice, oak, vanilla, cherries, raspberries, earth, forest floor, smoke, green pepper and peppercorn.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, forest floor, chocolates, tobacco, bell pepper and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with firm tannins and black pepper.

A Nice Cabernet from South Africa. Earthy, and needs food to accompany it. Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature, but already enjoyable. I had this vintage a year ago and still no change. I’ll try again in a year…

14% alcohol by volume.
