I know that most of you are probably freezing right now, but here, in sunny Florida, it’s gorgeous, So I have to take the opportunity, and enjoy it…
Beautiful purple in color with medium intensity and a light purplish rim.
Nice nose of red berries, blueberries, strawberries, sweet raspberries, earth, forest floor, red candy, graphite, metals, leather, oak, light vanilla, light bell pepper and peppercorn.
Medium to full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and earthy on the palate with blackberries, cherries, plums, earth, bitter herbs, Pine, toasted oak, leather and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and tart raspberries.
This is a very easy drinking CDR. Well-balanced with nice complexity and good acidity with firm tannins. Great right out of the bottle.
After an hour in a decanter, it opens up and becomes more complex and interesting, with big tannins . Not one to age, drink it while it’s fresh.
I paired it with a cheese plate and a gorgeous Florida weather.
14% alcohol by volume.
