Dark ruby in color with a short, dark purple rim.
Tart on the nose with blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, earth, spices, peppercorn, forest floor and vegetables.
Tart on the palate with cherries, plums, blueberries, strawberries, pomegranates, light oak, earth, dirt, peppercorn, spices and herbs.
Short Tart finish with round tannins and pomegranates.
This is a nice food wine from Tuscany. Unbalanced and not good just by itself. One additional year in the bottle might do some good. This wasn’t for me, though.
I’m not sure about the blend, but I feel Sangiovese and Merlot for sure.
A Good wine to pair with Spaghetti and meatballs. I Paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
