Michael David Winery Petite Petit 2014 Lodi,  California

My Rating 89 Points.

Price $16.
Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.

Lovely nose of blueberries, blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, raisins, prunes, earth, vanilla, licorice, sage, herbs, light vegetables, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, black pepper and spices.

Full bodied, bold and jammy, with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, coffee, dark chocolates and tobacco.

Long finish with firm tannins, black pepper and tart raspberries.

A fantastic Petite Sirah blend from Lodi California.
A wonderful sipping wine that will also work for parties. Extracted and rich, big and entertaining by itself, well balanced and good right out of the bottle.

Still young and needs another year in the bottle to mature.

A blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot.

14.5% alcohol by volume.
