Fattoria Di Lucignano Conte Lodovico Gvicciardini Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG 2012, Italy

My Rating 85 Points.

Price $22.

Light ruby in color with light intensity and a pink rim.

Sour on the nose with raspberries, strawberries, earth, leather, spices, peppercorn, tart cherries, cranberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth and pencil lead.

Medium bodied with high acidity and a nice mouthfeel.

Bone dry on the palate with sour plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.

Long finish with firm tannins and black pepper.

A Nice Chianti. Good food wine, and a good sipping red, too.
Not my usual red wine, but I did enjoy it. It was better after 30 minutes, and became too tart after 2 hours. So, sip it for an hour, and then pair it with food.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

13% alcohol by volume.
