Dark Ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Smoky nose of bacon, tobacco, blackberries, plums, sweet cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, cloves, earth, black pepper and turmeric.
Medium to full bodied, jammy and smooth, with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Off Dry and fruity on the palate,. with cherries, currants, blackberries, plums, oak, vanilla, chocolates, cloves, tobacco, bacon fat, beef jerky, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with almost no tannins, and some tart cherries.
A nice old vine Zinfandel from Lodi, California. Drinking Nicely now, but simple. Good right of the bottle. A Good sipping wine and will also work well with grilled meats.
Nicly balanced with enough acidity for the sweetness.
