It’s the weekend! Cabernet anyone?
Deep burgundy in color with a short purplish rim.
Fruity, with medium intensity on the nose, and blackberries, black currants, vanilla, figs, raisins, oak, coffee, cherry pie, licorice, dark chocolates, mocha, peppercorn and spices.
Full-bodied and bold, with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry with ripe fruits on the palate, and blackberries, black currants, dried fruits, sweet plums, candied cherries, raisins, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with Big, Green, mouth drying tannins, bitter almonds and black pepper.
This is a very nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County. Very young and will be better in three to five years. Enjoyable now, with a big piece of steak or beef stew.
Not fully balanced, yet, nor smooth. A bit bitter on the ending from the unripe tannins.
Needs a couple of hours in a decanter to open up properly.
15% alcohol by volume.
