Bodega Norton Colecciòn Varietales Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Mendoza, Argentina

My Rating 82 Points.
Price $8.

Dark Ruby in color with a purple rim.

Earthy nose of mainly cherries, but also, violets, strawberries, plums, blackberries, oak, cloves, vanilla, earth, green peppers, spices and black pepper.

Medium to full-bodied with a soft mouth feel, with medium plus acidity and Long Legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, cherries, raspberries, cloves, dirt, wet leaves, oak, spices, vanilla and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tart cherries.

This is a simple, yet drinkable, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina.
I opened it yesterday, and it was not drinking well, so I put back the cork and waited a day. Much better today, after one hour in a decanter.

Unique in a way, it is a very cherry like, Cabernet Sauvignon. Still young, and would benefit from one additional year in the bottle.

Grapes are grown at around 1000 feet elevation.

Drinkable by itself, but better with food. I paired it with a chicken and lentil dish.

14% alcohol by volume.
