Chateau Ste Michelle Eroica Riesling 2013, Washington State

image

My Rating 87 Points.
Price $22.

Pale lemon in color with a green hue.

Fruity on the nose with diesel, minerals, grapefruits, lemons, bananas, tropical fruits and white pepper.

Medium-bodied with high acidity (mouth watering) and a bit austere.

Dry and Sour on the palate with limes, grapefruits and tart citrus fruits.

Long, tart finish with almonds.

Tart and lemony but not bitter like some. Simple, yet drinkable.

Made from 100% Riesling grapes from Washington state, and is a collaboration with Ernst Loosen.

This is Not a Riesling to sip on by itself. Better with sushi, raw seafood and even Indian dishes.

12% alcohol by volume.
