Concannon Vineyard San Francisco Bay Petite Sirah 2013

image

My Rating 86 Points.
Price $15.

Deep purple in color with a purple rim.

Light nose of blackberries, plums, figs, asparagus, sweet cherries, peppercorn, oak, licorice, vanilla, light metals and spices.

Full bodied, but not bold, with medium plus acidity and great legs.

Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, wood, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with big, full tannins and black pepper.

A Nice Petite Sirah. Enjoyable by itself or with hearty food. Needs 2 hours to open up, which I didn’t have, but the last few sips were the best…

14.3% alcohol by volume.
