Torbreck Woodcutter’s Shiraz 2013 Barossa Valley, Australia

image

My Rating 86 Points.
Price $25.

It’s the weekend, guys… Let’s get it started with this nice Australian Shiraz.

Dirty, condensed, Dark inky in color with a thin, deep purplish rim.

Metallic, yet earthy, on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, oak, light cherries, leather, forest floor, currants, spices, metals and black pepper.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, tar, leather, oak, licorice, cooked fruits, earth and black pepper.

Nice length on the finish with leathery tannins and peppercorn.

This is a Young and earthy Australian Shiraz, but already entertaining by itself. I paired it with a lake view, nice Florida weather and a burger.

15% (awesome) Alcohol by volume.
