Inky in color with a deep purple rim.
On the nose, blackberries, plums, cherries, bell pepper, spices, black pepper, smoke, coffee, vanilla, oak and some barnyard.
Full bodied with nice legs and medium plus acidity.
Fruity and bone dry on the palate with blackberries, cherries, plums, vanilla, oak, licorice, cola and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with full tannins and peppercorn.
This is an enjoyable single Vineyard Malbec. Still young, though, and needs some time to relax a bit. I have a few more bottles, which I’ll get to try again.
Grapes were grown at an elevation of 3,500 feet in Remolinos Vineyard in Mendoza.
Hand picked and Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
