La Cirque Rouge Granache Blend 2013 France

image

My Rating 78 Points.
Price $13

Dark ruby in color with a purple rim.

Spicy and fruity on the nose with bell pepper, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, vanilla, licorice, light smoke, cloves and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with nice legs and high acidity.

Very mute on the attack, Tart and bone dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, oak, vanilla, cloves, and black pepper.

Medium finish with full tannins and black pepper.

This is more of a food wine, like barbecue. Harder to drink by itself. Still young and unbalanced, but will be better in a few years.

A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan and 20% Syrah.

14.5% alcohol by volume.
2.75 Stars.

    1. Krunch, I review the wine as it is, as honestly as I can, so you can decide for yourself if this is for you. As long as quality is decent, it is all about the individual palate and preference. The fact that I like one, doesn’t mean that everyone would. Enjoy it.
